Thanks

Ten Things Tuesday at Practical Scrappers.
Pre-made flowers are in the spotlight today. I don't use them too often, and when I do I only sprinkle them lightly on my project. I prefer hand-made flowers and non-traditional embellies instead. If you are not the flowery type here's a quick trick that will have you using up your flowers happily.
~ Thanks ~
The yellow butterfly on my card is made with a 4-petaled paper flower. I simply removed two of the petals.
This card is also my entry for Paper Secrets July 21st Card Sketch.

Happy Day

Welcome to the Practical Scrappers Specialty Team Blog Hop!

Chevrons are such a fun trend. Have you ever realized how many shapes are really chevrons? There is the typical 45° angle or the zig zag pattern but what about the rest? Arrows, hearts, the letter X, stars, angel fish...you get the idea.
For my project I punched several 1inch strips of cardstock with a decorative corner punch to create the majority of my chevrons. I choose a punch with heart shapes to further the theme, then used an alternative punch for the top portion of the dress form. To keep all the purists happy I added cork chevrons as well.
~ Happy Day ~

Grand Theft: Cereal

On our most recent car trip we found a rest stop with super friendly fuzzy guys. The kids were sure it was the same one we'd located last year and had the cereal all ready to go. This ground squirrel wasn't happy with the few pieces he was offered. He tried to take off with the WHOLE bag!!!

Somewhere

Today is all about Letter Stickers.
When I was little I would draw an alphabet house to remind myself which part of each letter went into the basement, ground floor, or upstairs of my lined paper. I loved that each piece of furniture resembled a letter. I still think it's kinda cool!!!
SOMEWHERE that I used to live
For my project I re-created the alphabet house. I used b's and d's for for the chair and of course a T for the table. I used a T and and I for the bed and a letter center for the pillow. The basement stairs were trickier, but I decided on the corners of B's and D's.

one DAY in JUNE

Once again our designers have come up with fabulous uses for tags. For my layout I used Prima product packaging. The background design fitted my color scheme perfectly so I cut the cardstock into rectangles, rounded the corners, punched a hole, and called it a tag.
~ one DAY in JUNE ~
This is my second entry for
The trim on this layout I added to my stash after re-upholstering a set of antique couches I picked up in Italy. It's been there close to 8 years! Two of the brads are from an MME Christmas collections. They both say 25...my birthdate.

Unexpected

I love Paper Secrets Sketch with a Twist challenge. However, this is my second attempt since the twist was textured background and the first time (Munchies) I only used a strip of texture.
This layout features a Scrappy Friend I finally got to meet IRL. I expected to have fun, but I didn't expect to find that we both enjoy life on the wild side. Maybe the hair dye should have given us BOTH a clue!!! LOL.

If WALLS Could Talk

10 Things: Mist today on Practical Scrappers. I poured a bit of mist in a bowl, dabbed my stamp in it, and plopped it on my paper.
It sure made fun, drippy impressions!
Tis the season to try new techniques! This is my first attempt with modeling paste. It was SUPER easy to work with, dried quickly (couple hours and I put it on THICK),
and was a great surface for stamping on.
This page is a companion page to Sweet Memories.

Go see what it's all about then get crafty and link up!!!
